Choose a commercial spool by socket size, spacing, length, and wire rating

Bulk stringer spools and wire are components for measured lighting systems. Compare C7/E12 or C9/E17 sockets, 12-inch or 15-inch spacing, spool length, wire color and gauge, and product rating before building a run.

Socket size controls bulb compatibility

C7 stringers generally use E12 candelabra-base bulbs; C9 stringers generally use E17 intermediate-base bulbs. Confirm voltage, base, and manufacturer compatibility before assembling the system.

12-inch and 15-inch spacing serve different layouts

Twelve-inch spacing produces more sockets per measured run than 15-inch spacing. Compare the intended visual density and the resulting connected load, not only the spool purchase price.

Know whether the listing is 500 or 1,000 feet

Product families may offer more than one spool length. The selected variant, title, purchase-unit panel, and cart should all agree before checkout; do not infer length from the product photo.

A spool is not a ready-to-plug light set

Do you sell 1,000-foot C9 spools with 12-inch spacing?

Use the product filters and variant selector to confirm the available C9/E17, 12-inch-spacing, and 1,000-foot combination. The selected title and purchase-unit details should state all three before ordering.

What is the difference between 12-inch and 15-inch socket spacing?

The center-to-center distance between sockets changes the bulb density and total socket count over the same footage. Twelve-inch spacing is denser than 15-inch spacing and therefore changes the product and load plan.

Can I cut bulk Christmas light stringer wire to length?

Only use and terminate a product in the manner allowed by its manufacturer instructions and electrical listing. Bulk systems require correct components and load planning; seek experienced or qualified help when unsure.
