Should I choose an 18-foot set or a 150-foot spool?

The featured 18-foot LED rope-light sets include a power cord and mounting clips, connect end to end, and must not be cut. The featured 150-foot LED spools are for longer, custom layouts and can be cut only at the marked 36-inch intervals. Check the selected product for its maximum run, included accessories, and instructions before installation.

Are LED and incandescent rope lights interchangeable?

No. Match the bulb technology, voltage, wire count, tube diameter, and connector style. The featured LED rope lights are 120V, two-wire, 1/2-inch round rope. LED and incandescent power cords are listed separately; do not mix power cords or connect different rope-light systems.

What do I need with C7 or C9 bulbs?

A bulb-only listing needs a compatible socket stringer and mounting clips or stakes. C7 bulbs generally use E12 sockets and C9 bulbs use E17 sockets; check each product. Complete light sets and bulb packs are different purchases—review the included quantity and components on the product page.

Can I use these Halloween lights outside?

Check the Usage rating on each product before ordering. Choose outdoor-rated lights, timers, and extension cords for an outdoor display. Keep electrical connections protected as directed by the manufacturer, observe load limits, and use a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet. Never energize rope lights while they are still coiled on a spool.
